Go Park Sai Sha, a new sports and shopping landmark is opening in Hong Kong

Go Park Sai Sha will be a new all-in-one sports, retail, and entertainment attraction in Hong Kong. And it is designed by none other than Zaha Hadid Architects famous for their futuristic designs of some of the most iconic landmarks in Hong Kong. The first phase will be completed by the second quarter of 2024.

The 300,000-square-foot complex will be the award-winning architectural firm’s first sports-retail-entertainment project in Asia. Thanks to its location in Sai Sha, it will integrate nature with sports, entertainment, dining, and leisure experiences. Sai Sha is also an up-and-coming hub in Sai Kung, offering various recreational activities. Keep reading to find out more!

Go Park Sai Sha is Zaha Hadid Architects’ new project in Hong Kong

The project will be under the helm of Zaha Hadid Architects. They are the team behind other eye-catching buildings in Hong Kong such as the Jockey Club Innovation Tower and the soon-to-open The Henderson. Go Park Sai Sha will also have similar signature elements. Expect geometric aesthetics that seamlessly blend into the environment with modern details.

There will be two major areas in this new Hong Kong landmark. The outdoor sports facilities and the sports commercial complex with the latter expecting completion by 2024. The plan shows a multi-level landscape with a large open space and multi-functional facilities for sports, entertainment, leisure, and dining. In addition, an elevated park on the rooftop with sweeping views of Sai Sha’s natural landscape adds even more glamour. The new attraction will also champion sustainable practices such as ensuring low-carbon emissions. It will also integrate natural plants and flowers all around.

Connecting communities with accessible transportation

Similar to newer malls like The WaiAirside, and The Southside, Go Park Sai Sha looks to connect the local community. Its developer, Sun Hung Kai Properties hopes that communities in Wu Kai Sha, Ma On Shan, Sai Kung, Sha Tin, and Tai Po will take advantage of the new complex.

It will be accessible from Wu Kai Sha Station (Tuen Ma Line) and University Station (East Rail Line) with a travel time of less than ten minutes. In the future, there will be bus and mini-bus services to transport visitors from Wu Kai Sha, University Station, Ma On Shan City Centre, and more to the new attraction.
